Demountable tensioned fabric structure

This prestigious hotel runs a well known and well frequented restaurant. Located to the South of the building, the restaurant opens onto a great terrace that has a sea view enjoying beautiful sunsets.

The guests clearly want to be seated outdoors however the heat and rain make it uncomfortable and this limits seating capacity and ultimately revenue for the business.

Our solution covers the maximum terrace area possible, links up against the building and allows the restaurant to offer an all-weather solution to their guests. The beautiful gabled entrance is incorporated into the internal space along with lamp post lighting to keep the historic ambience.

Anchoring was concealed with recessed anchor points and simple cover plates to reduce the visual impact of the structural requirements. And the canopy membrane was selected to compliment the building creating a welcoming space for guest enjoyment day and night.
