Tensioned fabric membrane and structural frame
The existing terrace forms an extension to the company’s internal showroom floor. The outdoor showroom required partial protection from sun and rain. At the same time the tensioned membrane structure was designed to be sculptural and compliment the beautiful furniture products.
Catching the rainwater and bringing it down through the deck at a location that allowed physical contact was also a way of dividing the space in its functionality.
