PLAYGROUND SHELTER
High point freestanding tensioned fabric structure
Shade and rain protection is very important for any school, ensuring outdoor usable space for children during inclement weather. This structure was commissioned to replace a typical triangular shade structure that was badly damaged in a typhoon. A single high point structure that integrates with the existing trees, playing field and other covered structures, the planning had to be exact to fit and work. The membrane colour as moss green was selected to blend into the green environment the school encourages. Three years of typhoons have not had any major impact on the structure and its materials. Its predicted to have a life span of fifteen years.
