Temporary fabric membrane cladding
Our team won a tender bid to design, fabricate and install the enclosure for a temporary arts exhibition designed by Pedrita Studio.
The structure was built from standard aluminium box truss in an unusual form. The dramatic structure was installed on top of a ferry pier in the harbour and was challenged by high gust wind forces immediately.
A fabric membrane clamping system was designed that installed quickly and withstood the high wind pressure whilst remaining waterproof. The stretch membranes in black, applied as flat planes achieved the dramatic angular form as desired by the architect and client.
